Behind the Screens: How CPR MultiMedia Solutions Supported the Iconic Thanksgiving Day Parade with LED Display Technology

At CPR MultiMedia Solutions, we’re no strangers to high-profile, high-pressure live events—but few compare to the excitement and complexity of the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. This year, we were proud to support the production with a full array of LED screens and confidence monitors designed specifically for live performers stationed along the parade route, especially at the iconic performance stop in front of Macy’s on 34th Street.

Enhancing Performer Experience with LED Confidence Monitors

To ensure that performers—from dancers to marching bands—could see themselves during their televised segments, we strategically placed LED display panels both along the street and on parade floats. These confidence monitors played a crucial role in helping talent stay oriented and engaged during their performances for the NBC television broadcast. With real-time visual feedback, performers were able to stay in sync and deliver polished, camera-ready acts with confidence.

A Logistical Feat on One of Manhattan’s Busiest Streets

Executing this deployment on one of the busiest streets in Manhattan came with its own set of event production challenges. Load-in and strike times were restricted to late-night hours due to traffic and safety concerns. Our technical crew worked efficiently and discreetly under tight timelines to minimize disruption and meet strict deadlines.

We also managed close coordination with NBC’s broadcast team, who provided the video feeds for our displays, and with New York City officials, who oversee site access, security protocols, and crowd management. Ensuring seamless communication between multiple stakeholders is part of what sets CPR MultiMedia Solutions apart as a trusted AV production partner for large-scale public events.

This project highlights our commitment to delivering reliable audiovisual solutions in complex, high-profile environments.
